X2 Weird graphics when editing midi notes See attached VIDEO

Hi, am I doing something wrong??? When I try to edit a group of notes in the midi sequencer (like lasso a group and drag them) there is a massive delay in the graphic rendering so its become impossible for me to edit midi files! I don't have this problem in any other DAW only X2
All X1 builds are fine, its only X2 32 and 64 bit!

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9300 @ 2.50GHz
Ram 8.00 GB
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
W7 64bit

Thanks

Eddie

Your feedback is most helpful as I just cant use X2 while this is happening?

Side note: Jing is free screen capture software from Techsmith.

I saw video. Noticable delay. Are you sure this is not directly related to this particular project?

this has ALWAYS been an issue (even in my x1 setup and back to hs7) when you're moving huge groups of notes like that because the synth is trying to audition ALL of them at the same time.  i thought that was pretty funny imho that the software was designed like that.  my tips: mute the track when you move the notes, use process/transpose for large groups of notes or - use groove clips set to follow project pitch and insert pitch markers to handle transpositions.  if you're just moving the timing and not pitch positions of large blocks of notes, do so in track view by selecting the clips.

EDIT - and the vid plays in chrome just fine.

EDIT 2 - Craziest thing... I just tried this in an X1 project in X1 and DIDN'T get this behavior - which I always used to get.  and now, same in x2. i did change a couple of params in the config file though under preferences/audio/config file - usewdmdmaforwasapi set to false, ksuseinputevent to false, extrapluginbuffers to 32, and dropoutmsec to 750.

    Thanks Guys! That worked????

I changed the config values! And relaunched X2, it crashed, sent an error report to Cakewalk.
Relaunched, screen froze for about 30 seconds, and presto everything started working fine! Even with a softsynth audition all the notes now move instantly like before???

    This is all very weird!

    Thanks again

Spoke too soon! As soon as I relaunched it started taking about 5 seconds for the drag to take place???
I even deleted the synth and its still the same. You drag and drop a bunch of notes in the piano roll and the after 5 seconds the notes will move slowly to their new place! I really hope its fixed soon! Its impossible to sequence like this!
I will have to go back to X1 for a while!
    Not good :(

None! There was no synth connected! I thought it may be the synth trying to process the notes so I removed it! But the delay was still there! Its definitely a bug because I can reproduce it on my i7 laptop! Its not just a minor bug its a major one! After all it is a sequencer lol!
