X2 has expanded included??

Seeing that the $49 expanded is not available anymore...and not really sure what it is...

Looking to upgrade from 7PE for $199 it appears and then another $179 for the prochannel stuff....?

And anyone know if ADK or StudioCat can do upgrades on a new computer build?  (I guess I can ask them, but wondering if others had upgraded and had them install the software too on their new machine)

X2 includes everything that was shipped with Expanded so you will just need to pay the $199 to upgrade from 7PE - no further payment to get the Prochannel (unless you mean the additional modules that were sold separately).

I could not find it on the StudioCat site, maybe Jim will stop by and clarify how they handle it but ADK does sell SONAR upgrades on their site. The ADK site does not show X2 yet probably because it is only a pre-sale item.

yes I mean the extra pro channel stuff for $179, as it doesn't come with X2.

I probably should have split my questions apart, but I (maybe double) posted in the computer forum about upgrades on a new machine.

From the webinar on X2, it appears that Prochannel extras are included. Since you're coming from 7PE, you have to look at that particular upgrade list to be sure. They usually list what is included.

If you buy Sonar X2 you get everything in X1 Expanded plus whatever is new in X2.

Corrected: Changed Production Suite to Expanded.  Cakewalk needs to stop fragmenting the product into so many different versions.

    Erm, don't think so . . . for example, you don't get Z3ta+ 2 or the PC4K S-Type Expander/Gate.
That's why I (and a number of others) fancied upgrading to Production Suite for £70 then qualifying for the free X2 upgrade. We'd be getting more stuff for less money, but Cakewalk pulled that offer when the X2 pre-sale went online. Waited too long . . .
Nevertheless, I pre-ordered X2 and I'm loving the strings, so all's good here

X2 producer contains a Breverb VST and PC module. I believe they are "lite" versions.

Just watching the webinar for X2 and it sure makes it tempting.
I only have XP but $99  for the changes seems like such a deal it makes it worth buying Win 7 or 8

Anything that works in X1 should work in X2. Can't imagine why they wouldn't.

The optional Cakewalk ProChannel modules will not be included with SONAR X2 Producer. These are available separately and are for sale at the Cakewalk Store. They will work in SONAR X2 Producer as well.

    http://www.store.cakewalk...sp?sku=10-XPPM1.00-20E

SONAR X1 Producer Expanded introduced ProChannel Modularity (the ability to add new ProChannel modules) and included an updated QuadCurve EQ (with the SONAR X1d update) and the Softube Saturation Knob. All the functionality in SONAR X1 Producer Expanded will be included in SONAR X2 Producer.

Can we get an A/B demo test of the  PC2A T-Type Leveling Amplifier: I'd like to hear what it does before buying it.
