X2, how i can change tempo without ****ing up waves tracks?
my english is maybe not enough good to explain well what i want but: when i change tempo, all my waves already recorded after that tempo change place and no more fit. is there a way to just change tempo without affection waves arrangements ? tx i just realised also the time rule thing, the mesures 1,2,3,4 stay the same length instead of smalling when i put faster tempo. maybe thats why the waves length is ****ed.

try to change the audio CLIPs into loop clips by selecting it as a Groove Clip Loop (Ctl+L) and they may then change size with a tempo change. if they are changing size when tempo changes are made, then they were saved as a loop and need to be un-looped.

Go Process > Fit to Time, and read the Help menu. With audio, it assumes you're not using Groove Clips because those change tempo by themselves. The basic idea is: 1. Suppose your clips last 60 measures and the tempo is 120 BPM. Select all the clips. If any Groove Clips are select, though, this operation won't work. De-select them as they will take care of themselves. 2. Change the tempo. Suppose you make it 140 BPM. Now the clips last longer than 60 measures because they're slower than the tempo. 3. Go Process > Fit to Time, select Stretch Audio, choose the correct time format, and enter 60 measures. Choose the Radius Mix algorithm for Type. Click on OK, and go have lunch. The processing takes a while because Sonar is applying the high-quality offline iZotope stretch algorithm. This process is effective and works well. Fit to time also works with MIDI, but I assume that's not what you're interested in at the moment.

Render each track to a single wave file: Select the track, right-click on any clip and select Bounce to Clips. Then you'll be able to change tempo without clips moving around on you.

Right! I should have added that Fit Time affects the length, but leaves the start point alone.

I think too, if you want to leave several small clips there a a couple of ways to lock the position. right click a clip for an option is one. And in the track inspector if you choose clips, there is a Lock option there as well.

Radius Mix unless you're doing surround.
