X2 suddenly very unstable and I'm getting the error message below

I've been having no problems with X2, then about a week ago, it started locking up and crashing.  So I reinstalled it and that fixed it.  However, I started encountering another problem when I try to load certain plugins.  Melodyne and Amplitube 3.  When I try to add them as an effect, the following error box pops up and the system locks up and I have to do a shut down (ctrl-alt-del to bring up task list to try and kill sonar doesn't work...it's like a zombie...it can't be killed unless I do a hard shut down).

Howdy - I did some digging and found confirmation to what I thought might be the cause.  Here is the excerpt from what I found:
    "Root Cause :
Both libiomp5md.dll and libguide40.dll are Intel OpenMP Runtime library. The libiomp5md.dll is new Intel OpenMP* Compatibility library while the libguide40.dll is legacy OpenMP library. The Intel® IPP 6.x and Intel® Compiler 11.x threading libraries are switching from the legacy OpenMP* run-time library (libguide*) to the compatibility library (libiomp*).

The dynamic library, libguide40.dll, is still included in the current releases for backwards compatibility and will be removed in a future release.

The error is caused by multiple OpenMP libraries were linked in same application. For example, if a application link the libiomp5md.dll from IPP 6.x, at the same time, it also link other software, e.g. third-party library, which link libguide40.dll, then the error arises because of the duplicate initialization of OpenMP Runtime library

    Resolution :
Please remove one of them and keep only one OpenMP runtime library."

So, basically they indicate you need to delete one of the 2 run-time libraries, and the one to delete would be the obsolete one, (libguide40.dll).

I would suggest that rather than just deleting the libguide40.dll, that you instead rename it to something like libguide40-OLD.dll, which will make it so nothing finds it, but it will still be available in case you determine that you want it back for some reason.

Please post back with your results,

That worked great!  Thanks.  Melodyne and Amplitube both work fine now. Thanks for the tip!

Happy you have got this resolved.  A nice touch when you get something fixed is to add something like 'Solved' to the thread's subject line.  You can do that by editing the first post of the thread and changing the subject to add solved or fixed.  This lets others know that they don't have to wade through a bunch of posts in the thread in preparation for trying to assist, only to find out that it is already fixed.

Anyways, now you can go and break something else (or just record the next Dark Side of the Moon).  :)
