X2 w/hotfix better performing vs. X2a

Curious, since I've found I have better performance in X2 vs. X2a, is anyone still using X2 with the hotfix vs X2a, and if so, are there any issues that are show-stoppers?

I'm on Windows 7 -64Bit with 16Gigs DDR3 2400 RAM (1600MHz), Intel DZ77GA-70K Ivy Bridge (Socket 1155), Intel i7-3770K 4-Core, 8-thread proc, 3.5Ghz SATA HD (WD) ASUS 1024MB nVidia, and MOTU Core I/O PCIe424. It's a new machine except the ASUS card, which is still PCI-16.

I was on the Quickfix up until yesterday. It works for most basic stuff but I have hit a few walls. I could generally find a work around but yesterday the Edit Clip Map function wasn't letting me move beat markers consistently. After I patched it did work a little better. Loading the project took a bit longer though and I haven't really done much of anything else so I'm hoping I'll be one of the lucky ones in regards to the A patch. If not I'll just use my restore point.

Oh and my system/interface are slightly less powerful than yours (i7 2600k/Focusrite Scarlett 18i6). I don't think your vid card should cause too many problems in Sonar running through PCI. It's the actual audio converters you gotta watch out for with bridged PCI.

If you are concerned about the vid card though I picked up the linked Gigabyte PCIe card for $20. 1GB memory and it seems to work fine. http://www.newegg.ca/Prod...x?Item=N82E16814125392

Nah, I'm most concerned with the versions of X2. When i installed X2a I immediately noticed a slight performance decrease. So, I'm considering moving backward from X2a to just X2 with the hotfix patch. Thanks!
