X2a - Staff View possible new bug ?

I've only been working in X2 for a short time here, but I've noticed in Staff View when you click on the buttons to access Lyrics, Chords, Expression
etc . . . that the Staff View greys out and highlights the editable areas in white (as it should) but now clicking the buttons again no longer turns the greyout areas off.  It stays greyed out, no way to get back to full white ?

Anyone else can confirm this is happening on X2a ?

I take it you clicked on the active button to turn it off?

    Okay . . . so now I've tested this Staff View issue further . . .

I've opened 5 different projects I'm working on, and the Staff View buttons work as they're supposed to . .  click on, click off.

. . . But the current project I'm working on has the issue where the buttons do not turn off.
This project plays well and acts otherwise normal, but the Staff View buttons do not turn off ?

Hi John . . . clicking on the different buttons changes the Staff edit features properly, but re-clicking the buttons do not turn them off. If I start a new project, they work properly.

Odd, it seems to be working here as it should. The track wouldn't be locked?

No tracks / clips are locked, I have 3 tracks selected for viewing.
Even if I close staff view completely, and re-establish a view with just 1 track, this project still will not turn of Staff View edit buttons.

So now I'm thinking this is not a general Sonar X2a bug, but somehow this project has caught a Staff View bug.
This project is not an old project I've re-opened, it was started recently in X2.

I'm still having the issue with notes that are step or two below or above the staves. When you right click to edit the note, the edit menu with all the parameters does not show. Just an edit list comes up. This happens a lot as of X2. It's like the cursor loses focus of the note that you want to edit. If you go else where and fidget around a while, when you come back it may work and it may not. The only fix I have found is to transpose the track up or down an octave so the note appears on the staff, then edit menu comes up, edit, then transpose back to the original key. WHAT A PAIN! We keep hoping that someone will eventually upgrade the staff view. Sadly, it seems to be getting worse.
