clintmartin I have thought about Studio as well. Andrew did say that The PC in studio has two modules without the flyout EQ. Producer has 8. I own them all, but the flyout EQ and Tape sim are unique to Producer. I own Melodyne single track, so that's a redundant purchase. I think all things considered I'll wait until I can get Producer.
Hmm... Does that mean you can only load up two modules at a time or that it only comes with two modules? And would I be able to pull modules from X2 into X3 Studio (whether I bought them separately and/or the ones that came with X2a Producer/X1 Production Suite)? If QC EQ isn't included is the old QC gonna be there? What about the Tape Sim? Can I drag the Tape Sim into X1? See? Headache. Not asking you specifically Clint. Just working myself up into a fresh new froth of speculations, calculations and general discomboobulations. Really though I guess my only needs for even considering X3 is improved Audiosnap (which they didn't fix) and less wonky selection/graphical issues so I can track/edit without constantly getting distracted by gremlins.

Don't tell anyone at Cakewalk but I think I would have accepted $199 on this one. Just the included stuff motivates $149 easily to me, but it was a rare fit of sw I wanted or can see use of...

If you need that stuff or have uses for it all it is well worth the dough. That's how they got me with X2. All the goodies as well as the Take Lanes and Time Zoom.

SteveStrummerUK It's 1.55pm here in the civilised world. Do I wait another 5 minutes or go and mow my lawns? Touch decision
I'd love to mow mine. If only it would stop raining in Somerset.

I think he said the old EQ and saturation knob are the two included. I don't know if the console emulations would work, but I would think the "paid for" modules would. I'm sure they will clarify it all in a bit. I think all of the extras are worth the $149, but I will go a head and guess it will be the improvements to the core program that will be the cherry on this Cake.

I love Somerset Dean. Many many years ago, the cricket team I used to play for used to tour in that beautiful part of the world every year (Seaton; Chard; Buckland St Mary, Crewkerne, Frome etc). I have great memories of wonderful people, good beer and some really pretty cricket grounds. Now, as to the rain, are those clouds heading up the M5 towards Worcester do you know

Heh. Thanks, John but I feel like I've been kind of being a spazz these past few days. I'm in my new place now and got the rig all set up but I'm not sure what I want to do first so I've been torturing myself (and possibly others) here over all this hoopla. Anyway, I really should get on with it today and have a thread topic in mind that'll hopefully get my head in the game to start slapping together some song sketches. I want to complete wipe and reinstall everything on that system but have to write an epic letter/series of questions for support and I'm not quite up to that yet. Hope you've been well.

Heh. I'll leave that stuff up to the pros. I've got theory books to write. Over the next little bit though I'll be starting a thread that has every single bookmark I've made over the past year and a half and may release my Sonar/general production notes into the wild. Might help some guys just starting out like I was. Cheers.

Another little error at Sweetwater that they might like to fix - V-Vocal built in according to X3 producer description. I think it was only supported if you already had it in a previous version. Can't be long now - little bit of Christmasy feeling....

I just bought the X3 Producer upgrade from Sweetwater. They told me it could be up to 48 hours before I get my license. He said it looks like they have a few already waiting to get licenses from the manufacturer. Come on Cakewalk!!! I want my X3!!!!!!

Worcester, that's only up the road from Bridgwater, well 90 minutes. Surprised you've not had the thunder storms we've been having, and they're coming back tonight according to Michael Fish and his crew. Anyway, so not to hi jack an X3 thread about the UK weather. Quad Curve with zoom window, analyser and pitch reference is beyond cool. And it's multi touch. Time to get a touch monitor I think.
