Did you have a previous version of Melodyne on that system?

    Yes, Melodyne Singletrack (64 bit).
I let SONAR X3 installer install Melodyne Essential and after that I activated the 30 day trial period.

    EDIT: Clarification.

I'm not sure installing both was a good idea. I'm 8 minutes away from installing and I will not install Meldoyne from the X3 install.

A day or two ago Noel said X3 would recognize the existing version.

    Too late...
Melodyne Editor trial activation upgraded my Melodyne Singletrack to Melodyne Editor, too. I'm getting confused. :(

Do you have an ilok? It'll usually automatically find that.

I don't have X3 on my home machine yet, so I can't verify right now. I have sent a message to the Beta team to double check this. Some of the 'undo' stack stuff can be tricky. Can you repro this yourself?

    Best Regards,

Panup out of curiosity did you push this report into the Fault Reporter? If so, select that you want to be notified and it will give you a CWBRN number that will help us locate it.

Producer and Studio customers get a full license of Melodyne Single Track.

Customers buying just SONAR X3, the basic version, gets a demo.

The version of Melodyne Essential that comes with SONAR X3 Studio and SONAR X3 Producer is not a trial version. We provide a serial number and then you unlock it through Celemony's authorizer. We do not do this process for you though.

Usually I always do the report but this time Sonar did not show Fault Reporter dialog after this crash or if it was shown.

Alt+click the legal button in the about box which will open the minidump folder.
See if there's a recent dump saved there.  If so, please upload it manually to the problem reporter along with a description of what you had done.

    Alt-Click did nothing.
MiniDumps folder does not exist in the X3 Appdata folder. I'm working with the same project now but now Sonar is rock solid...

I noted that X2 was crashing a lot when I try to Delete or Undo plug in insertion. Sonar likes to crash a lot for any giver reason- you should not take it personally. Just restart and see if it happens again. Do not undo anything, specially do not delete inserted plug ins.

Sending report to Cakewalk does not mean they will ever reply even if you check the box. I did it on many occasions and nobody ever contacted me.

I just had a crash with Melodyne as well, same as Panup.

Had purchased the full Melodyne a few months ago, and it seemed to install fine.
