X3 "Fixes & Enhancements X2?

From Cakewalk web site...

Fixes and Enhancements

Pure refinement.

SONAR X3 includes over a hundred finely tuned tweaks, little enhancements and general improvements throughout, inspired by customer feedback, making it the most refined and solid version of SONAR yet.

Hey guys/gals it says here that we are inspiring Cakewalk to release a new better "refined" version of Sonar? Great. I would prefer that the current version of X2 be as refined first.

I find it odd they would put this out for a new version of software. But what about yesterdays version X2? Since they are saying that X3 has "FIXES" included will they release a patch for X2? I really hope so. It will determine my future with Cakewalk, bad enough Gibson is getting involved but I will try to stay loyal as I can. I also do not want to pay royalties for plug-ins I already paid for (e.g. Melodyne) These should be offered as an options during upgrade.

Come on Cakewalk some of us are hoping you do the right thing. Release an X2 patch soon...or at least say you will. You can't expect us to point out the problems and then charge us to fix them. It seems you already corrected these issues in X3 according to your advertising...right?

Music is moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to imagination, a charm to sadness, and life to everything...Plato

As scook pointed out, we just discussed this at length (for the umpteenth time). Please review the thread. Several Cakewalk employees commented.

The word "Fixes" is misused, in my opinion. These aren't bug fixes that we're charging for. They are improvements and changes in behavior. Many of these decisions were made by reviewing survey results, analyzing Tech Support case data, etc.

An example to help you understand: Lanes are behaving a bit differently in X3. This is a result of redesigns required for the new comping workflow. So, we're not just holding back fixes maliciously. Hope you understand.
