X3 Marketing

My post was just locked by admin, it was X3 "Fixes & Enhancements X2?

I suppose they will lock this one also...must be a sign of the times.

My post was about how Cakewalk markets X3. The info below was taken from X3 web link. A person with intelligence would think that there are fixes in X3 from X2. Otherwise why call it Fixes and Enhancements. OK so now tell me I am reading too much into this. Many folks have issues with X2 including me.
Fixes and Enhancements
Pure refinement.
SONAR X3 includes over a hundred finely tuned tweaks, little enhancements and general improvements throughout, inspired by customer feedback, making it the most refined and solid version of SONAR yet.

The Negative:
Platinum Member "skook"  and Ryan Munnis of Cakewalk told me to "let it go". They said this was all discussed in another thread. Since I have a life and did not read 7 pages of the thread nor did I see anyone from Cakewalk explicitly state the there would be no patch for X2, I posted.

The Positive:
Bill Jackson "Product Manager"...I want you to know I think you have a much better understanding of your customers. I thank you for your answer. I guess that's why you are manager and Ryan Munnis is just product support. skook is just a skook whatever that is.

I agree with your response Bill "The word "Fixes" is misused, in my opinion."

Bill as I think you would agree this leads the reader to think that you fixed something does it not? That was the reason why I asked if there would be a X2 patch. But some readers and support do not feel my post required a sensible comment.

Letting It Go:

Since X2a is the final X2 release I will use X2 for what it is and I will not spend another dime on Cakewalk software. I have been using Sonar since version 6. I have spent a lot of money and was always 1st on-board with new versions. I now have a reason to go to Pro Tools.

Thank You,
Meno

I never said "let it go". You're quoting someone else.

Personally insulting me is completely inappropriate. Quite frankly you have no idea how much work I do or don't do for Cakewalk. I locked another thread that had gone in circles and was revolving around a subject that had already been discussed at length. It had nothing to do with you, it was just a subject that no longer needed to continue.

All I have been saying is that X2 users are more than welcome to reach out to us for help instead of trying to spread a message that X2 is unstable product with no context of what it is they even need assistance with.

Thanks for your feedback. It's been noted. I'm going to lock this thread so we can focus on helping customers who have issues with any version of SONAR.
