X3 Starts Very Slowly

When I start Sonar X3 Producer, it takes an age for it to get going (50 seconds on a stopwatch).  I just upgraded to an SSD for my OS and hoped that would make a difference.  Computer boot time is down to almost instant, but X3 still takes forever.
 
VST scan options are set to manual, and I've noticed that since putting in the SSD, there is almost no hard drive noise at all during Sonar startup.  That indicates to me that the program is barely - if at all - accessing my data hard drive.
 
Any suggestions on how to get a faster program start time?  A couple of minutes of wait time every time there's a crash or issue is a real drag.

I don't know if this is related, but since installing Ipswich, seeing something unusual...

I have the start screen disabled as well as check for updates...

When I first open Sonar, it takes quite a while (a minute or two) before I can select anything to open. I continually get the not responding message.

It does finally load, but it's taking a lot longer than previously...

Keni (not OP) try disabling arm record during playback in preferences... There an issue right now... Otherwise another thread.. Cheers..

If you are on in X3E your issue is not the start screen (this is a new Platinum issue). So forget that.

Again check your event viewer for the error message. We need more info about your crash. What exactly happens, what the error message is etc. Report back when it next happens.. Screenshots would be good as well... Ta.

Sorry...

I now have the latest RME drivers.  Hasn't affected Sonar, but they made some real improvements since the last time I had checked.  It has not affected Sonar start-up time.  Using ASIO drivers.  No ASIO4ALL.  Looked at the event viewer and found nothing about Sonar.  It hasn't crashed on me in a while.  It's that as long as I've ever used it - over a decade - every so often something about it fouls up and you have to restart it.
 
I've timed the startup - consistently 51 seconds.  It seems as if it's waiting for something.  Is anyone having this with X3?

Firmware is the latest version.

I do have a lot of plugins installed - a lot more than I use, especially since many of them have "stereo" and "mono" implementations and I only use the "stereo" versions
I still have X2 & X1 installed.  I haven't used either of them in a pretty long time.
There is one core that spikes and works the whole time during loading.

If you happen to have your Windows Default Audio Device set to also access your ASIO drivers of your audio interface, I wonder if that could slow Sonar down while it waits for access to the drivers.
 
I never have anything but my music applications like Sonar pointing to the ASIO drivers of my audio interface.  My Windows default audio device is currently set to the HDMI output going to one of my 2 HDMI TV's, so there is never any conflict.
