X3 Video Handling Improvements?

Hi,

Hey Bakers, what are the video handling improvements for X3? I couldn't find any info on the product pages.

Thanks

(edited) I wasn't testing this feature in development (someone else was) so maybe Noel can chime in.

An overhaul of the video support (new features) is coming in a near future free point release.

For X3 and X3a (the patch will be out for the boxed versions next week) video support is back end improvements. Currently you should have all the same features as before but with some better codec support and performance. I wasn't testing this feature in development (someone else was) so maybe Noel can chime in.

While I don't have a dire need for enhanced video support myself - not that I'd reject it! - the bolded line certainly caught my eye..

Sorry for the OT reply, but this is wonderful to read, particularly since the "a" update is already available.

Other video enhancements are slated for an upcoming update. I think that was misreported in the original copy. X3 gold and A only contain the youtube upload feature (which is a very cool addition)

Will we be able to import a Quicktime movie directly into our 64 bit X3 program?

Thanks for the prompt replies! I'll look forward to learning about the improvements. Honestly, I'd like to be able to call Sonar my primary DAW again for scoring-to-picture.
