X3 - Whats wrong with my Clip Colours ?

Hi

Just installed X3 and seems to have a problem with clip colours. They are all dark, and the clip header is black.
I have checked the colour options in preferences and set everything to default.
The only way I get any colour is to uncheck " View - Display - Show Clip Contents" in the track view.
Probably an option somewhere that I'm not familiar with.

Gary, X3 has changed how clip colors work, slightly. It can get confusing with existing projects.
I believe it has to do with Take Lanes and Comping, among other things.
I'm currently of the opinion that we're all better off if we can just embrace the new color styling, at least until we understand what X3 is doing and why.

I recommend starting a new project from scratch just to see how X3 handles clip+track colors by default.

But basically, yes, the clip header and clip backgrounds are now black.
If you want something different, you can change existing clip colors by selecting them and setting them via the  Inspector:Clip: [ ] follow track colors.

But if you do, the color tinting cues that X3 uses for muting, freezing, and comping may become very difficult to understand.
