X3 and plugin menu layout

Hi,

X2 organised the plugins in a more logical way, separating them by folders etc.
In X3, by default, they are separated by VST2 / VST3 / DirectX.
If I chose the X3 PRODUCER EFFECTS layout, it will organise the SOME plugins by categories:
-AmpSim
-Channel/MultiEFX
-Delay
-Dinamics
etc etc...

Is there a way to make it organise things like in X2? Or do I have to do it manually?

Also, when I open the plugin manager, I see multiple instances of my uad-2 plugs. I might have older versions in different folders so it is scanning multiple instances. How do I get rid of the old ones and just keep the most recent version?

Thanks
joni

PS- By the way, I haven't had a single crash in X3b.

While in the X3 plugin manager, you should be able to open the X2 layout and then save it. I was able to open up a custom layout that I created in X1 and save it as my default in X3. Hope that helps.

P.S. I still had to modify my custom layout in order to add the new plugs in X3 though, but that's easy enough. :)

Actually where I wanted to start it was on the default plugin layout on X2. And that is not a preset. But X2 default was a good start. i.e The UAD-2 plugs where in a folder called UAD-2 POWERED PLUGINS.
In X3 all the UAD-2 go to the VST folder...

I like the layout. Although I was used to scrolling to find a particular plug. Seems logical to subgroup them like that but now I have to hunt to find the one I want!

You'll find that in the VST 2 folder all your previous folder structures will remain? At least mine did.

    Hope that helps
