X3 is a great edition
I have now had some time to play around with X3 Producer (still have a lot to learn) but I must say that this is really a top notch program. This is definitely the best version ever released and I have had every version since Twelve Tone Systems Pro Audio version 1 back in 1987. I am newly enthused about recording and can't wait to do some serious songwriting with X3. Thank you Cakewalk for what has obviously been a labor of love in creating this new version and then quickly releasing the b patch. You guys are great. Barry

Totally agree. I really liked X1d, and X2a just seemed a nice refinement of it. The improvements/additions to X3 just seem to have reached another level. It may sound odd, but it just seems to fit now.

IMHO the new comping tools alone are well worth the upgrade. I thought (and said) when X1 came out that I liked the direction and potential of it. X3 is just carrying that on.

Just did the upgrade from 8.5 to X3 and I'm loving it. I have X2 but all the noise on the forum seemed to indicate that it was very buggy so although I bought it I didn't do the upgrade on my computer. But X3 has good workflow and ProChannel is awesome! Going to get into some VST3 later today to check out how this puppy supports that version. So far this has been very stable for me. Cheers to the bakers!
