X3: lond midi-note middle start - Will I hear the sound of those notes?

X3: The midi-note will be playing if I play it from the middle?

You will not.  This is a behavior we often consider adding.

You definitely should add this. Studio One does it and it's really good. Maybe in X3c?

I would like it added, but make it switchable behaviour per project.

Yeah, I agree. A few other DAWs have MIDI chase and it's a nice feature, although I have found that it doesn't always behave as intended when the synth part is arpeggiated, sequenced, or makes heavy use of sync'ed LFOs. So, if it ever is implemented, having the option to turn it off would be nice.

    Yes - as an option!
It's a good idea for Ambient music, for the music that has long pads, where the long chords of the orchestra play.
Why haven't you still do this? These are the very evident things that the most of musicians need. These capabilities are actualized in other DAW for a long time ago.
Please realize it in the nearest update.

Count me in - there is nothing more frustrating than having to rewind to the beginning of long Midi notes in order to hear the full arrangement.

The only workaround is to temporarily freeze the synth & unfreeze.

But I agree, it should be switchable, preferably on a track by track basis - not global, and not specific to project

Wouldn't you want a global setting with a track override?
