X3 take-splitting

I installed X3 last night, coming from X1 and having not-used X2 due to a few workflow issues I didn't consider worth the effort to overcome.
In short, X3 seems like it'll be my new DAW.  Very quick thus-far.  Also the updated take-lanes seems to work much better!  The parent waveform displays what is ACTUALLY PLAYING! haha  That was my huge issue to be honest with X2.

Anyways, I digress.  I hope the following makes sense.  This is hard to explain without images :/

I recorded 4 takes of multi-tracked guitar.  The 3 guitar tracks were in a track folder.  I grouped the clips when I recorded them as set in Preferences.

I opened up the take-lanes.  4 takes/lanes per track as was recorded.

I went to split every clip at a point in the timeline (4 takes x 3 tracks).  This was the first issue I came across.  I am not sure the quickest way to select every clip of every track within a track folder.  I had to scroll up and manually click on the track folder, then split them at the "now" time (clicking 'S').  Is there a quicker way to split all clips in a folder at the "now" time without having to scroll up and click the track folder?

I then grabbed the clip to the right on the first take of track 1 and was expecting the first take of track 2 and 3 to be selected as well as they were grouped upon recording and should have remained grouped after being split.  However, I found that all clips on the right in track 1 were selected.  Nothing in tracks 2/3.  If I selected a clip in track 2, only clips in track 2 were selected.  Same with track 3.

I hope one of these two issues can be explained as to what my user-error was.  If I can help display these issues easier please let me know :)
Thanks!!
