X3 - where are my default buses (Master, Metronome, Preview)??

Just installed X3. When I start a new project, the first thing I notice is that the track window which appears is small (about a half of its maximum size and bunched up in the top left corner). Not only that, but it's completely empty. There is no master bus, no metronome bus, no preview bus. If I right click in the bus pane then all I get are usual options to create stereo or surround buses.

How do I get all of this back?

Is the Templates entry in Preferences > File > Folder Locations pointing to your X3 project templates directory? If so, is there a Normal.cwt in the directory?

That's weird, I wonder why it didn't install. I chose the option to migrate settings from X2....I wonder if that had anything to do with it. So I guess I can just copy the project templates over from X2 manually then, i.e. they are the same?

Check your X2 folders for the normal template.

I had a previous install do that to me.

I have not installed X3 yet. So all I can do is point you to the problem area. Is there anything in "Cakewalk Content" for X3? If not, that is an issue. It probably should look similar to X2.

You may also notice some of the other X3 folder locations pointing back to X2 Cakewalk Content folders. I prefer to keep everything separate.

No they all point to X3 locations. I've copied across the Project Templates folder from X2 and all seems well.

Good to know. One more thing I won't have to check (but will anyway) after X3 install.

I would have thought there to be differences in templates between X2 and X3, and while X2 templates may well open in X3, I would suggest continuing to try to figure out why the original X3 ones did not appear.

Have exactly the same problem except I can't locate project templates from X2 or X1 anywhere, and yes, I've searched. Are they available to specifically download? Please tell me I don't have uninstall and start again.

Scratch the question. Have conducted a install update and now have the templates. Still worrying that they didn't install first time as were definitely selected.
