X3a is up and running good here...
Okay so I decided to download the program last night, took about 5 hours so I was up late. I did get a chance to do some preliminary tests with it, and it worked like a charm. It opened up to the last session I had in x2. All audio settings were imported so I didn't have to do any set ups. Everything just worked.
First thing I dived into was the colors, I set everything to dark blue and the console looks great !! Next up was the various synths sounds including the Strum...very nice, then I got into the Pro Channel, I love the new EQ and the tape simulator. I did some quick mixing on a raw track I had loaded up and it sounded great. I then got into the Nomad effects, and found them to be very adequate and very responsive. They all seem to have the right controls and buttons which all work nicely...So howzit sound ?? Sounded great to me. I haven't found anything to complain about yet. This program should be able to take care of my needs for years !!
Nice job Cakewalk, and I'd like to give a nice shout out to Roland who is leaving us with a very fine product that was developed under their watch !!
