QuadCurve EQ analyzer is post EQ, since you were asking.

Right on Panup. Thanks for making those reviews available, they're great. I'm loving the revised quadcurve display and wish all the PC modules had this flyout graphic option. I think you are spot-on with your suggestions re. the pre/post setting on the analyzer.

Feature Request not implemented Adjusting clips during playback is one of the most common tasks I do in Sonar. Often there ain't any empty areas in Track View where to click in order to continue scrolling (as Sonar stops scrolling if you adjust clips). Why couldn't we click Bus Pane to continue scrolling? It would be just perfect solution to improve (at least my) workflow. We plan to introduce a button to re-enable scrolling. For now, you can right-click the time ruler. Hope that helps.

Time ruler right-click - good tip! It opens a context menu but at least scrolling continues. :) Btw, should you update your avatar..

One other thing, regarding your WTF Moment (if you haven't solved it already): VST2s that expose a MIDI out show up in the Synth Rack, allowing you to use that MIDI out and route it to another track.

Also, you can right-click the top half of the ruler to enable scrolling and avoid the menu.

Those VST2s are Native Instruments RC24 and RC48 reverbs. To my knowledge they do not output MIDI data. I tested if there's any MIDI coming out from RC48. Nothing. Noel claimed it's a bug in those plug-ins...

To be honest, the whole "scroll lock on click" deal is a bit esoteric. There is zero affordance and that has been a pet-peeve of mine for a while. Seeing customers talk about it helps it raise to the top of the priority list. So, no. Don't bother with the manual :) Things like this should be more "discoverable."

i used to read the manual when it was a physical book (at least the "what's new" section). But now I rely on the videos and the forums entirely. I guess I occasionally search the help files. Is there really still a "manual", like the ones I have filling up a shelf in my studio? I have every iteration of cakewalk since pro audio 8, and almost every manual too. THANKS for the scroll lock tip. I'll use it.

New, big Quadcurve Equalizer window looks very cool and I love the built-in analyzer! But is analyzer pre or post EQ?
It's pretty obvious that it's post if you turn on a high or low pass filter and sweep it up. Is there a switch to set it?
It would be useful. But then again, I guess its primary role is an EQ, and the analyzer part is a bonus.
