X3b - just a compliment !
OK, so I don't post much, but may now that things are getting a bit busier with movie trailers and such. I searched the forum based on a Garritan issue I encountered last evening where insertion and All synth outs was only gen'ing 6 tracks, 8 tracks the next time, etc. Found a recent post but more importantly a response from Mr. Noel who had already debugged the issue as being one of Garritan. What I'm saying here is that we're all really fortunate to have the Cake team in this forum daily assisting us, listening to us and responding in such a timely fashion most times. Just really quality folks ! I know I appreciate it immensely ! Best Regards to All ! Bill Watkins - CHO, Va.

Agree!! Reminds me of a letter I sent back to CW customer support in the early X1 days... customer support is a thankless too often, so I had ended with "in spite of... remember all of the things that you do RIGHT!" So much in life is perspective... you can take a wonderful thing with one flaw... and some will focus on the wonderful thing, others only that flaw. Expectations breed disappointment... and for someone who does not "live" by SONAR, I have always been appreciative of all the work and support CW has done (I feel they put in WAY more effort than most companies). The addition of the folks who DO live by SONAR taking the time to help others in this forum is a massive plus!

I'm always amazed at what you actually get for your money. This release is the best yet and I think that despite the black clouds that were rolling in to this forum not so long ago, the bakers thankfully stuck to what they were doing behind the scenes and they sure have delivered.

I was a big critic if X1 because of my experience with it.
X2a was a significant improvement but I missed the regular contact from the bakers. It was a bit like some long standing acquaintances had decided to ignore me. Now I know they were really busy fixing up all the things I had been complaining about. While that may not have been my choice of how to deal with X2, it was what Cakewalk did and they've delivered the goods through the release of X3 which right from the start has not only delivered but obviously had a map for its delivery and ongoing development of this release cycle. X3b is already great, knowing that X3c is due within the next week is just icing on the cake. And the talk indicates that there will be other updates in the 3X release cycle.
I want to add my compliments to the efforts of the whole Cakewalk team.

+1 Mike. Well said. It hasn't been all roses, but I think the Cake staff genuinely care and TRY. That goes a long way when things aren't going well. But is even better when things are good. Viva X3c!
