X3c Slow Context Menu after Waves install

Today I picked up the ever-sweet deal of a Waves bundle that was $1,100 in savings.
I installed the License Center, the V9 plugins, , transferred the licenses, and loaded up X3c.
Gotta say, the Waves installation was pretty superb and simple..like Cakewalks! ;)

In my projects I now notice that it takes context menus (left-click) about 3 seconds to pop up.  That is a noticeably long time.  This did not happen before the Waves install to my knowledge.  I use my studio PC daily and would like to think I'd notice something like this haha
It occurs when I left-click a waveform or the fx-bin.
It does not take that long when I left-click outside a track to, say, add a new track.

X1d does not have this issue.

I have stated before elsewhere that it takes 5-8 seconds at times for my to simply clone a bare (no-fx, automation) track in X3.
I have a pretty good, newer PC.  I run X3c 32-bit on W7 (UAD 64-bit plugs seem to run weird for enough people for me to not upgrade.  I use UAD constantly so bit-bridging them isn't worth using 64-bit)
Any ideas?  If I can help troubleshoot please let me know I'm out of ideas based on my knowledge.

    Interesting turn of events...
I had initially tried using the new Waves plugs, and then closed Sonar and came back a few hours later.
I re-opened Sonar, was mixing and tried to add a Waves plugin.  I got a "Waves Licenses Error", telling me to rescan the licenses.  Waves License Center said things were there on my PC.  No luck.

So I uninstalled everything, only the plugs, not WLC.  I then re-installed them and made sure the licenses were there on my PC.

Booted up Sonar, and the plugs were back to working as usual.  I closed Sonar, re-opened, and BOOM same error message.  No licenses found.

Also, I notice in the Plugin Manager, the plugins are listed twice.

Any ideas with this?  Good news is, with no licenses... the content-menu is quick again haha.
I've contacted Waves.  No idea if their support is any good though.

No clue what the license issue is.  I'm using USB licensing and it worked fine so far, but WAVES support should be able to figure that out ...

You should have VST2 and VST3 installed as you will need VST2 for X1/X2 and VST3 for X3 ... in X3, though, make sure you check the "Hide Related VST2 Plugins" option.

Running both VST2 and VST3 versions of Waves plug-ins in the same SONAR session is currently not supported by Waves. Mixing and matching VST2 and VST3 plugins will likely result in the plugins crashing or the UI not drawing.
A mix of VST2 and VST3 Waves plugins can happen under the following scenarios:
    • You have "Replace VST2 Plugins when opening projects" (under Edit > Preferences > File - VST Settings) turned off, open a project containing VST2 versions of Waves plugins and later add a VST3 Waves plugin
    • You have "Hide Related VST2 Plugins" disabled (under Edit > Preferences > File - VST Settings) and open both VST2 and VST3 plugins
Note that this limitation applies to all projects that are open in SONAR not just mixing and matching in the same project. Additionally if you are experiencing Waves plugin parameters being lost, make sure you have the SONAR X3b update installed.

WAVES support was super-responsive lately. Sorted my issues out within hours via email (but I'm almost in their time zone, might be a little longer for you)

Don't have the issue either, I'm running in 64 bit though. But I have faith in Waves Support, they have been really on top of things lately. Good luck!

I sincere thanks for your replies!  I already received a reply from Waves support and will be looking into it later on today.

I figured the duplicate plugs were VST2/VST3, but wasn't sure how to go about sorting that out.  I wasn't aware of an option like that, so I'll give that a shot :)

    Thanks again!

I found the answer... I think!
    http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/2942705

I created a seperate VST2 folder in my (x86) directory and the duplicates went away, the Waves plugs load, AND the context menu is snappy again!
My fingers have never been more crossed haha

I find waves licencing and installation perplexing.
One tip... Get the defragger out.
    Cheers...

My 'answer' was not the answer :(
The plugins DID work, however once I closed Sonar and restarted it... no more Waves.

I am continuing to get help from their support so maybe I'll get back on track.  Still haven't been able to use these plugins.  Kinda peeved.  I don't care whose fault it is,  what workarounds I need to do or files I need to move around, I just want to use what I paid for.
