X3d & Toontrack Superior Dummer 2

I have installed SD2 on my new DAW with X2d.
It installed well but...
When I open it, the GUI opens fine but the samples won't load.
I have checked the path to audio samples and it is all fine.
What am I missing?
(it works just fine on my old saw)

It sounds like you are running the 32 bit version of Superior Drummer in 64 bit Sonar.

You need to get the latest updates from your Toontrack account and install them and ensure Sonar is scanning the folder with the 64 bit plugin.

Follow the instructions carefully when updating Superior as there are pitfalls if you improvise.

I had an issue after upgrading SD2 that samples would load up to about 90% of the expected RAM usage, and then just stop.

I eventually figured that the installer had put the new DLL in

    C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Toontrack\64bit

I had to copy it over the old DLL that SONAR was loading from

    \Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Toontrack\64bit
