XLN Deal
Bought an add pack for AD and got light versions of Peavey Revalver and Nectar Elements. Updated to Nectar2 for $129. All in it was less than the price for Nectar2 stand alone. Finally a bunch of stuff for my voice over work in one package. Yeah!

Yup...you get the same deal if you just buy a midi pack from XLN too. That's just twenty semolians! So for $149.00 a feller could get a midi pack, Revalver HPse, Nectar Elements AND Nectar 2...too!!
I use Nectar elements in the VoiceOver suite at work and Nectar 2 (which is much improved) in my production room.
Good times indeed! ;-)

Just curious... On the Peavey site ( http://www.peavey.com/products/revalver/) I see the HP version (assuming it's a more feature-rich version than HPse) for only $13. Isn't that a better deal than paying $20 for a MIDI pak to get HPse for free...? Assuming, too, that Nectar Elements isn't all that important to anyone weighing this deal.

Now that I've watched the Nectar Elements videos, it does seem kind of cool.

So, if I just by the Blues midi pack for $19.99, I get Revalver HPse and Nectar Elements? Am I reading this right?

I can't confirm that a midi pack will do the trick. I received an email from XLN that said if I buy an add-pack I would get the other items. I wanted the black magic kit anyway, so I bought it and then moved up the food chain to Nectar2 for $129. So $50 for the drum kit and $129 for NEctar2 with Nectar Elements and the Peavey amp sim for free. My total expense is less that buying Nectar2 by itself.

My email said either an adpak or a midipak would do it. I bought a midi pak and got the deal.

I use Nectar Elements in the voiceover suite. It's a quick and easy way to have presets for our most used VO talents. Nectar 2 is a whole nother animal. Much improved and very functional as an all in one vocal processor. I use it in my music production room.

Nectar 2 is a great thing to have, especially when you have Melodyne. After having both of those with a little practice you can really pull off vocal miracles.
Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

They do have a special price. $129 in my case to go from elements to Nectar 2. Check out the web site.

Got up this morning and bought the Blues Pack for $19.99, before leaving for work. Checked "My Products" real quick and it was lit up and Revalver HPse and Nectar Elements were sitting there on my page ready to down load. Looking forward to working with these new toys Saturday morning.

Yes, but after paying $20 for a MIDI Pak to get HPse for free and then another $10 to upgrade from HPse to HP, I will have paid a total of $30 to get HP. On the other hand, if I can buy HP outright for $13 without first buying anything else... See what I'm saying? Of course, it's all moot now anyway.

I have already upgraded to Revalver HP as well. My tube amp at home these days is the Classic 50/ 410. I am working on a song right now and I just couldn't get the tone I was looking for. I did the full HD upgrade, fired up the Classic 30 and went...."there's my tone!" I have spent so much time playing around with Nectar, that I haven't even listened to the Blues midi XLN pack that I bought. I guess I need to do that yet.

Got it. I also upgraded to Nectar 2 for that sale price and it's really working well for me. Thanks for starting this thread!

Not sure if everyone gets emails from XLN - if you haven't seen it they have a new midi pack out - Alternative Rock Alternative Rock MIDI Pak - Out Now!Alternative Rock was born in the 80s, exploded in popularity in the 90s and continues to resonate with people all over the world today. We think it's because bands like Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, R.E.M. and Kings of Leon are not afraid to break the rules of mainstream rock and compose eccentric songs with flair and personality. Unlike the "assembly line" method commonly used in mainstream music production, these bands often write, perform and record songs together in the same room at the same time. This result in lively, dynamic performances and an energy that really comes through the recordings. That energy is what inspired our Alternative Rock MIDI Pak. This Pak has over 200 catchy beats, breaks and fills that are lively, dynamic and full of attitude. No boring "wallpaper rock" here! http://www.xlnaudio.com/products/view/59
