XLN addictive drums- humanizer ?solved

I really like the sounds aso of the X3 included XLN addictive drums.
But one thing is mysterious, I can´t find any humanizing tool ,also no sign about in the manual .
Of course  a drum synth of that quality has this function (like toontracks ez drummer and sd2).
Anybody here knows where this is hidden in AD drums?

Thanks in advance

Are you dead set on something specifically inside AD (I do not know of anything inside AD itself)?

Reason I ask this is that you can get a fairly decent "human" feel from the Step Sequencer as well as various CAL scripts. Are these not sufficient for you?

    Mettelus,
no, my situation is that I played arround /having sessions with ad drums, and wonna go deeper now
    in  recording and mixing aso.
Before I got toontracks Ez and SD 2 last year, I edited the drums like you
recommend with the step sequencer ,which is ok, but takes a lot of time ,
    to do this imo well.
This  function in EX and SD is real time saver and the results are  really good (for me!).
That´s why I ask for that ,any body knows ?

Gotcha, I have not seen such and will have to let another chime in here. AD seems to be its own beast in many ways, and I have not seen that feature (yet), if it does exist. I am curious as well.

Another option is to email XLN directly... would save time to get the real deal straight from the horse's mouth.

I'm not sure that this function is available in the stand alone version of AD, maybe you can alter the midi track in CW itself, using the swing function in the track inspector.

I think XLN focused on the sounds and not so much any sequencing tools.  The midi tracks that come with AD or their midipaks are to my knowledge played by drummers and thus should have a human feel already. Doesn't help when programming your own material or adjusting theirs.  You would think even a basic "swing" feature would exist, but it seems they made it to be more sound module than drum machine.

The quantize and velocity MidiFX plugins have a randomize function. These can vary both velocity and timing to give a 'human' feel. They'll work on anything, not just drums.

It's not directly done in AD, but opening the pattern in the step sequencer is fairly quick(make sure to include offsets to preserve timing).  You can use pen tool to quickly draw variations in velocity and other parameters and use the swing function on individual kit parts.

Not my bag but couldn't you put subtle tempo changes in a project to shake things up a bit?

Thank you all for chiming in.
There seems to be no humanizer module in  Ad drums.

:Dubdisciple, I will check , if the midi loops are played with a human feel and are not quantized, thanks for the hind.

I  like the drum sets of AD drums(specially the DW kit) a lot  .
The humanizing module or with human feel recorded midi loops
are a "must have " for me. I  used your recommendations (step sequencer,quantisizer- tool on midi loops ,cal script aso)
with session drummer 3 (before trying Ez drummer /SD 2 )and had good results, but that is a big time killer for me.

That´s a feature of Toontrack SD 2 that makes my life much easier.
The addictive drums with humanizing module would be a dream!

    Have fun
