XP & Guitar Rig

I just dnloaded the Producer upgrade. There was a serious warning about not using Guitar Rig with XP. I couldn't stop the installation so had to uninstall G.Rig. Is that for real? Does anyone use G. Rig with XP? Thanks.

Not sure what the serious warning is? I think You get Guitar Rig 4 Le with Producer. GR4 came out in 2009 so plenty would have been using XP and many still are. GR4 works in XP.

Specs for GR5 are Windows 7 (latest Service Pack, 32/64 Bit), Intel Core Duo or AMD Athlon 64 X2, 2 GB RAM.

All the latest NI software states only Windows 7 is supported. The general consensus here an on the NI forums is it still works on XP and Vista, but if there is a problem, you are on your own.

Thanks for the replies. I forget the exact words but something like it could do damage to your computer if you run in XP.
