XP home and core duos

i just read on musicxp.net that windows xp home edition does not support multiple processors. but what about multi-core processors? my new laptop has core duo in it, but am i not getting the most out of it if i am using xp home edition?

Athlon 2200+XP
512mb PC2700 ram

    HI,
    XP home supports up to 99 Cores you would gain nothing from Pro as far as audio is concerned
