Hi again Ed. I was listening to your stuff and it is absolutely great. I can hear a little Steely Dan influence in there. You have an awesome style of songwriting.

You have some really awesome stuff in Soundclicks! Jazz is one of my Fave styles of music. I played out in Jazz clubs/restaurants for years in Tampa.

Thanks for listening, Phillip. I'm looking forward to hearing more of your music. Best wishes!

Phillip, Thanks for checking the tunes out. I've received a lot ideas from the discussions on this forum. It's good to have you on board.

you know Philip, I don't know your budget, but if you can afford it, a USB/Firewire external drive is great. I have a 160GB one, and after tracking a song, I will back up the song and the waves to my external drive as well. I have 2 HD on my DAW, and I used to back up to that second drive, but if my system were to shut down for some reason, then I would have no way to work till my system was back up. Please email me and I can even phone you to walk you through things. My treat.

TY for the offer Michael. I was going to purchase a 160 GB HD as soon as I could afford it. I have a lot of songs on my old computer that I will need to bring over to the new computer. Unfortunately I have to purchase a new Keyboard and the Garritan library before I can do that. Perhps I can locate one on ebay

My email is at oliversoddities@hotmail.com. I would be glad to touch base with you!

That sounds awesome. How do you get the cool Timpani sounds? Also, the strings and french horn make a very nice counter-melody. You almost expect it to be too busy, but because of the tempo and mix, it sounds great.

It reminds me of something I would hear playing Final Fantasy too.

Hey man,

I was honestly impressed with this. My thought was, "this guy needs to be doing soundtracks." You evoke emotions of fear, sadness, and an underlying hope and perseverence at the same time. Nicer samples is perhaps a good thing, but then it's not a necessity in my judgement.

TY for the votes of confidence Jamminman and Kirkinreno. I am trying to get the Garritan Strings for my library collection. The edirol midi softsynths that come with SONAR do not cut the mustard.... I want very much to do soundtrack work. Right now I am working on a Folk/Country and Celtic sound with vocals. Now that I have read a few EQ nad Compressor articles I know I need to re-record all of my vocals.

I can't seem to upload your stuff from Soundclicks Kirk. I will check back later because I think Soundclicks is updating.

Once again TY for the compliments
