I like a lot of things about this song.  The synth sounds are just right for this, and the drums sound good, as well.  The chord progression is out of the ordinary which held my attention throughout.  However, I just could not hear the bass in this except for the bass drum.  I feel this needs more low end to be complete.  Otherwise, this is a winner.

    All the best,

Thanks for taking time out for a second listen and thanks for your comments and suggestion on the bass track .
I might have to find another bass sound that will stand out a bit more , I did switch out the bass synth sound the second time around and I also have compression added to that track too .
I might have to monkey around with that part of it and see what I can do to get a better bass sound .

    Thanks Buddy !

Sounds good James. I get a 'Japan' vibe from it (the band, not the country), I could imagine David Sylvian singing over this.

Just a suggestion, but you might layer a bass sound with a sharp attack over one with less of an attack.  I think it would help to hear the initial attack to counter the bass drum.  I would also pan the bass drum away from the bass synth like an 11 o'clock-1 o'clock spread.  Hope this helps.

    Kev

Thanks Kev , glad you enjoyed my drum track . I spent a few days off and on working on the whole track before I even started working on the music .
I really need to buy some new drum addons for my Addictive drums , they make a cool hard rock drum series addon I really liked for my Addictive drum software .
Maybe first thing in May I can afford to buy a few new addons because the stuff I have been working with for so long is getting old to me .

Starting this April I start building my new AMD PC , I have been buying new parts for this build for a year now . I'm just waiting for my new hard drive to come in from Newegg in April and then I can start building it .
What does that mean it means I'll be able to run some better sounding synth software , this computer is going to be so much faster .
Might even think about buying Sonar X1 once its up and running , maybe by the end of summer I can invest in Sonar X1.

Hey thanks again for the listen Kev , thanks for the comments !

Hi everyone , Lynn I used your suggestions and added more bass to the entire song . To simply put it I added more bass tracks and changed the synth bass sound to something else plus I panned each track left/right 30% each way .

Thats pretty much it for this song , time to move on thanks !

Thanks JamesYoYo for your input , I changed out the RoundWorm Bass for the Wooden Bass and then remixed all the bass tracks I had for the entire song .
In my piano section I added alittle reverb to soften up the bass some and no reverb added in all the other bass track sections .

I'm pretty happy with it now , in my headphones and in my monitor speakers it sounds pretty clean .

    Thanks ! Radio

    Hi radio,

I like it but it is really booming.  If the bass was on the first floor, the kick is on 10 levels below!  Maybe less around 30-50 hz on the kick and more on 80-120 for the bass.  Bass still seems light but the kick is boom box.  I really like your piece.  Good going and sticking with it.

Thanks Rimshot , after finishing this up I started on another music project . I'm working on some music to pump iron with , new excerise music for my summer fitnest plan .
This week I'm buying this excerise equipment called " THE RACK " , looks like an over size walker for a senior made of steel .
This thing is cool and can give you those rock solid abs you always wanted and lots more , a total gym workout for the price of $99.99 . Was $239.00 and priced reduced now that its in the store like Target and WalMart and some other places  .

Anyway the music I'm creating is pretty cool , great sounding drum track so far and should shred the pounds right off of me in now time listening to music and using THE RACK .

Thanks Again for the comments on this version !

Maybe a bit of rumble.  I'm on the monitors but am going to the headphones.  Do you have a bass guitar?  I'm not hearing the electronic melodies as prominently as I usually do in your music.  This is on its way though.

Take a bow.  The bass is tamer this time yet supports the other instruments.  So much has to do with the different ways we listen to all these mp3s, doesn't it?  Regardless, good song.  BTW, did you use Rapture?

Sorry Warren for a slow reply , been down with a cold for two days plus I started a new excerise music project for this new excerise equipment called THE RACK . Plan on burning off some belly fat this summer , hopefully losing a good thirty-four pounds so I need some really cool ecerise music to load in my MP3 to workout with .

To answer your question all I use is my keyboard and some bass synth sounds from Rapture 8.5 I use .
