Shawn, After 2 minutes into the jam I had to shut it down as it was like you took a sample and stretched it out across the track and there was going to be no end to it, being the same beat over and over and over. The sound is clean and clear but the repetition was driving me mad in the head. Maybe if there was some other interesting instrumentation going on with the background beats to give it more life it could have kept my attention. Keep working on this and maybe something will pop.

Peace be with you. Blessings, John

I agree with you it's abit repetitive, I still have the project and was thinking of have my friend do some rap lyrics...time will tell but alot of my songs are a bit repetitive as they are meant to be textures that keep a mood as a soundtrack behind a narrative. Thank You! Shawn

I have produced a lot of production library music and many underscores too. Underscores don't have to be boring and repetitive either. They too can have a definite start and end and the middle can go through variations and different permutations as well to keep interest up.

A good underscore can almost stand on its own but not quite. The dialogue and other sounds in the final mix can act as a sort of melody etc..
