Yay, I finally got X1

LE.

If I install it will I suddenly lose all ability to be objective about it's capabilities?

That part frightens me.

If you install it you will instantly become polarized about it.  you will either become a die hard fanbouy (likely since you are already 1/2 way there in name) or you'll become a whinging complainer who is not satisfied with anything X1 has to offer.

there is no in-between.  you have been warned.

Go ahead and have fun. You might like it. I have the LE version on my laptop and mind you, a few pre X1b niggles are still present;) But it's loads of fun, knock your self out! No Pro Channel tho...

No doubt you will take your usual pragmatic approach to it and draw your own conclusions.

Just be prepared for a different mindset to what you have been using.

It would seem someone finally looked at the rest of the materials in his Roland Quad-Pre box, no?

It is a complete box of infinite coolness.

Kerry says if I'm good one rainy day I can use the paints, scissors and glue and make a Fort out of the box.

The prospect of me being good and it raining on the same day are fairly slim though.
