Ybor City Strut
I found a WAV file of a song that I did a few years ago. Unfortunately, the working files were on that external hard drive that I dropped and destroyed a few years back. I cleaned up the WAV as best I was capable of doing. The song has a lot of flaws to it (e.g., a better balance on the vocal, either pull up the vocals or turn down the music, etc.) but I thought that I would post it anyway in hopes that it might bring at least a wee bit of a giggle. As the SoundClick descriptor says. Fritz and Manual we bored and decided to go strutting down 7th Avenue in Ybor City. Fortunately (for the ladies) and unfortunately (for the lads) their attempt at picking up "babes" met with failure. Anyway I hope it brings on a smile and thanks for listening. I like the song and did smile the whole way through. All the parts seem to want to breakout and do their own thing but somehow it all works. The timing is out there but somehow comes together. Nice job! Get a backup drive!

Put a smile on the furry mug Freddy with its claw tapping groove and amusing lyric.

Hi John. Thanks for listening. If only I had the working files. I would have liked to try and clean this one up (given my lack of talent and knowledge on mixing, please note the word try). I now have 2 one terabyte WD Passport external drives. I do have a talent --- for breaking things. Hey David. Thanks for listening and for your comments. Ybor is still there. It keeps on changing but never seems to reach its potential. When in the area, I used to go to the Blues Ship. It closed a long time ago. Thank you my furry friend. I'm glad that it gave you a giggle. There is nothing as joyous as a Wookiee with a smile! ;>) Hi James. Thanks for listening and commenting. I hope it brought a wee bit of a smile on your face. Thanks again.

Cool jam man, thanks for sharing. Yep I've spent a bunch of time in Ybor too. A couple of years back we frequently played a club/pizza place called "Market on 7th". Sounds like 2 guys walking and partying. Has a good feel to it.

My wife and I spent one night there - the night before the 2000 Super Bowl - what a crazy time we had - great fun. Freddy - you -put together a bunch of crazy sounds that all go together perfectly. This is really a fun song - so well done. Love it Freddy.

Thanks Daryl. I appreciate the kind words and am glad you enjoyed it. Hey, the drums worked --- alright! ;>) Hi Lynn. Sometimes you just have to breakout and just get a bit silly. This was one of those times. I appreciate your comments. Thank you for your help when something doesn't work and for your kind encouragement!! Hey Chuck. Glad to see you back on the forum. I appreciate your taking the time to listen and comment. Thanks!!! I think that the Market on 7th is still up and running but I haven't been there in quite a while. Hey Mark. Wow, you got to go to Superbowl? Ybor has changed a bit since back then. No more Mama Guava Stumble, crazy Halloween time, or WMNF Heatwave (band extravaganza) but it still is a cool place. I appreciate the very kind words my friend. I am looking forward to more stuff from you and the Pugtones being posted here. Hey Reece. How are you? Thanks for the kind words. I do hope that it brought a little smile to your lips!!
