Yeah! CCC with "Update All" and network drive

I skipped the last update mainly because I absolutely did not feel like spending several hours with CCC clicking and waiting to install a large number of minor updates plus what turned out to be a broken foxboro ...
 
Well, good things come to those who wait
 
foxboro shark week update plus CCC update just came out and it took me less than an hour to download and update all components of 3 systems (main, live, backup DAW)
 
The use of a networked drive for CCC downloads plus the new UPDATE ALL button really makes things nice and easy these days. Thanks a lot, Cakewalk.

    That's a nice tip. 
     
    Also in case its not obvious the new C3 allows you install multiple selected items.
    The workflow to do this is to hide the items that you do not wish to install then choose "Install All" for the top level item you wish to install. i.e. if you want Everything for SONAR Platinum, you would click it and then click Install All.
    You can do the same for Update All.

    Drat - I spent a couple hours updating Foxboro on Wednesday - if I'd have waited a day, I could have set it and forget.

    And if you download CCC from the website you'll notice there is a Windows and Mac option... Do I need to start saving for a new machine you naughty Bakers?...

    The mac version has been available since Rapture Pro was released.

    Its not often in the world of software that I think "if only this could..." only for it to be patched in months later but the new CCC does just that. Really appreciate the time-saving and ease of use.
