Yee! Big update! (2017.05-release)

Can't wait to give it a shot.  :-)

Did you guys get your 30th anniversery presets for mixing?
I use the QuadCurve equilizer a lot in my projects, so its a huge help, these extra presets.  :-]

So happy when a new update comes around.  Keeps me involved and wanting to create more.

Cakewalk has really hit the nail on the head with its last few updates. Just great, great work.
I believe the naysayers are all in hiding right about now. Trying to regroup in hopes of some demise

For me, the lifetime updates was a tiny bit of a leap of faith when I grabbed them in June 2016.  Now I am so glad I took advantage of the offer.  Now with these new features (and the more the come, I'm sure) it's really paid off.

Windows 10 64bit fully patched, 16 gig ram .
PCR-800 Controller.  (Working in Win 10 1809 64bit)
CPU: i5 4670.
Video: Nvidia GTX560ti (latest drivers).
Audio IF: Focusrite 2i2 2nd Gen

Internet always on.

Software
: Cakewalk by Bandlab (2018.09 B29)
ASIO mode. 24bit 48khz 256 samples
Rapture Pro, AAS GS2, VS-3, EP-4, VA-2, Chromophone 2, Z3TA+ 2, Addictive drums 2, Addictive Keys, Mpowersynth (latest), Iris 2, GPO5, Sampletank 3,

I don't recall this kind of enthusiasm for a Sonar release in the past. There have been many milestones before but the reception this release has gotten is rather refreshing. No two ways about it CW has done a fantastic job here. But think what we have in total. I can't list all the improvements or the cool features that have come our way since Platinum first came out but its been one hell of a ride.

Yes the lifetime updates is the perhaps the coolest of the cool things CW have ever done.

Best

I'm just waiting to see if anything that might slow my work down will become known.

I expect part of the reason for enthusiasm for this update is the arrival of the long-awaited ripple edit that has been on the cards and promised for yonks. I haven't had a chance to try ripple edit yet, but the whole update is great as far as I am concerned. Great job Cakewalk. Sonar seems to be developing and improving rapidly at the moment.

Splat, Win 10 64bit and all sorts of musical odds and sods collected over the years, but still missing a lot of my old analogue stuff I sold off years ago.

I agree. I think Cakewalk have done a phenomenal job with this update. I'm really loving the Adaptive Limiter which seems to work wonders on guitars, bass and synths. I should imagine it works well on vocals too. I still have plenty more to try out yet, including Ripple Editing.

I think the previous ones with the MIDI PRV enhancements were pretty significant, too...especially because the loose ends were nailed down in subsequent releases (e.g., the return of the keyboard commands, new keyboard commands, etc.).
