Yet another Sound Forge question.

My upgrade to SF9 doesn't seem to work right.  After muting anything in  a wave file selected from the tools menu, the entire clip is muted when i return to Sonar.  Thanks to non destructive editing they are simple recoveries.
Reinstalling my old SF7 (which has worked before), has created a new problem.  The editor opens from the tools menu, but the wave file wont display.

Any thoughts?

Could it be related to SF opening and saving the audio in a different sample rate than what Sonar is using?

SF was always reliable in opening different file formats.  The settings seem correct however i'm still having difficulty opening selected clips.

Maybe you have to isolated, split or even bounce the selected audio part first!!!

You don't mention whether you're using SONAR x86 or x64.

I'm using SF 10 and I've been using this technique since first available in SONAR. I think it was in SF 6 or something.

I always have SF open along with SONAR and set SONAR to share drivers. Other than a bunch of work around a to get it in the options menu in X1 I don't have a problem. Make sure that it is not a groove. Lip that you're working with in SONAR as they won't be sent across to SF.

Seems like something you're not quite doing right.

Still no changes.  SF 10 mutes the entire clip when returning to x1d.  SF 7 opens from tools menu, but doesn't display in the editor.
    Frustrated.

i am able to drag a clip directly into the SF editors (both versions), but it doesn't promt to place the edited clip in the same position, nor does it even display the edited version in the timeline.

it must be a setting because SF9, SF7 and Audition will display and open in the utilities menu, but only open blank editors.

I really need this resolved soon!  Thoughts?
