You Must Beat Your Mother-The Joke Song

Ok time for a new song, this ones called The Joke Song, it's about a French girl I met at audio school, although it was unrequited love, we were the best of friends, took mushrooms together, she stayed with for me the last two weeks she was in Australia.  I still miss her!!!!  Funny that.

interesting tune..... I had a very hard time hearing the words....  ok... "those words" stood out pretty clear....

at 48 seconds the bass sounds like it's hitting the wrong note on the bottom note. 

A bizarre mushroom induced fantasy?

Yea not my best work, this was recorded in 2007 and then I lost the track, then I recovered track.  I was still learning my audio engineering skills at the time and this was recorded on a Behiringer $90 preamp, into an unbalanced connection, it was recorded on a $150 AT2020 microphone.
 
I was also experimenting at the time with my creamware cards and printing with effects, thats why the bass is a little washy, wrong att, release settings on the Creamware compressor (hope you know what creaware are/were).  Then there was the issue of 32 bit and 24 bit, I got all confused on this one back then, because I was using 32 bit effects (creamware) I started to dither as I recorded (only on this track) so as a track goes it's a bit of a dogs breakfast.
 
I liked the idea, hence once I had recovered it I re-mixed it and put it through my expensive mastering compressor.
