jamesg1213 so glad you listened in the cans..
i really had that effect in mind when i mixed it. i've got 4 guitar parts, but they are layered up on top of each other, mostly playing the same thing, but panned all the way across, from left to right. mono tracks, but panned L100%/50%/50%/100%R with the vox sitting in the middle, mostly.
i do some tricks with the vocal mix, i almost always have a 2nd lead vox track mixed low below the 1st one, and i blend it in and out, and shift it left and right, sometimes phrase by phrase. i like my tune chock full of changes!! LOL more bang for the buck......

Oops, nevermind. Just saw that you took the link down. But man, I listened to the other tracks, and that's some top notch stuff right there.

I listened to this the other day but did not get a chance to comment, partly because I had no idea what to say other than this is what I "expect" to hear when I see a tune with Batsbrew in the posters name. Quality musicianship an overall well captured and presented piece of music. Sorry I know thats of little use to you Gonzo but at least you know I wrapped my furry ears around it (twice possibly even three)

well, this tune was previously released on my first album, and i've always wanted to do the drums more justice than i did on the original mix... the album is out of print now (VS Planet Records) and i want to do updated versions of all of these songs and re-release them digitally. probably CDBaby. so i appreciate ANY feedback, even after the fact! LOL truth is, i'm still working on pulling the project together, and will start re-tracking soon... i also have a whole new album in the works, and i'm finishing up a couple of songs now, have about 4 more to write before it's ready.
