For those of you who had trouble sleeping because you couldn't stop worrying about whether or not you were breaking the law by blocking ads in your browser, the matter has been settled (in Germany).

Hi, I find this excellent ... and that someone has the balls to stand up and say that they have the right to interrupt your browsing adventure with their advertisements ... the only concern I have is that this opens up Adblock to serious corruption by getting paid to allow certain things to pass, and cut out the rest! This attitude by some folks on the internet that they can invade anyone they feel like and it is their right to do so, as a business venture, is out of line and is one of the ugliest forms of consumerism, and I agree that it needs to be taken down! AND these were probably the same type of folks that were sending you spams, Viagra ads and other things.

Moshkitothe only concern I have is that this opens up Adblock to serious corruption by getting paid to allow certain things to pass, and cut out the rest!
What you should be more concerned about is that if blocking becomes popular enough with the general public, sites will move to put hooks in their code so that the page will not display or function correctly if marketing/advertising is blocked.

That's primarily why I don't have a TV. Ads send me into a rage with their lies, distortions, exaggerations and general cheesy blandness, not to mention the inane soundtracks. Same goes for all the other trailers and station idents. They're obviously tailor made for some segment of society but it ain't me. So I won't watch anything with ads, which is why a Netflix subscription (or the Amazon Prime I recently switched to) is the only way I'll ever watch a show.

Hi,
No TV either. But Crumcast locks out my ability to see soccer games from Europe! It knows/says that I do not have that tier of services at company. I'm trying to see if the company will add those services to our accounts (if we're not on the footprint).
it was a bummer ... I could not watch BM thrash that one team! Even the internet links were getting hit badly and interrupted!
