Your Love - Pop / Rock tune - feedback appreciated

Hi
This was originally written as a piano tune, the lyrics written later (for my lovely wife ).
This is a more 'upbeat' version of the tune - I'm fairly happy with the arrangement (although each time I do this I try different ideas for the instrumental middle 8 - and I'm never 100% sure about any of them).
My vocal talents are limited - I've cleaned them up with Melodyne (but hopefully not 'over-processed' them).

Any feedback / comments would be appreciated - especially with either the arrangement or the production.
I'm still learning my mixing / mastering skills, so I'm sure there is room for improvement there.....

Thanks!

To me it sounds a little to wet and a little bit all down the middle.  Pan some of the instruments in the sound stage, remember some instruments are Mono and back off the reverb.  Probably a nice little song in there just need to tweak the mix a little, thanks for sharing.

I agree with Wookiee, the verb kind of makes the instruments sound smeared.
As for melodyne, hey it's my best friend, we do what we have to do.

Thanks both, really appreciate the insight and opinions.
Panning makes sense -I'm still looking at options for some monitors, so I'm mixing on headphones. I guess the panning I'm hearing on 'phones is not as obvious when heard on speakers.

Reverb is something I'll need to work on - to my ears the tracks sound weak without reverb, so I tend to add it 'as default'. Maybe I need to work on the tracks dry first, and try to get them sounding better before dialling in the reverb.

    Thanks
    Paul

What's missing, is learning to EQ to avoid frequency masking, and the judicious use of compression. There is nothing inherently wrong with the tracks themselves. I'd suggest remixing with all reverb off until you can get a mix that sounds good as is.

I thought the song was good, and there are some very good concepts in your tracks.

Ditto to the above - allowing the parts to shine more up front by using more of a "room" verb could really push the song forward.  Nice chord progression and the melody sits over it well.

Oh, and say hi to Melodyne, we're also good friends.
