Perked me up.  I don't know why but in the beginning it sounded too "bright" but as I listened  it changed for me.  I know the song didn't change so it must be me.  This is good work, gary.  The horns sounded good to me.  It all sounded good.  I give it a 9 to dance to.

Well, here I go again, a total nit to pick on an otherwise great effort!

Your vocals are very well delivered, the drums I think are mixed very well, lots of interesting little conga, piano, and guitar touches.

    However,
As I hear your bass figure, the first note is the root, in this case an E.
The second note you have as an "A".
I think the second note could be an "A flat"  the first two times in the bass figure, which would be more in "key"-ping with your song. It could be an "A" on the last time, as you quickly move to the B that you hit twice.

Hey, obviously it's your song Gary, and I know you are a great songwriter, because I've heard a lot of the other stuff you've posted. It's always interesting and I can't fault your choices generally . . . but for me that "A" really sticks out, and maybe most people just wouldn't notice or care at all!

Just my .02 Euros. I always enjoy your songs, thanks for posting!

    cheers,
    -Tom

Happy tune!  Overall mix sounds good hear, nice separation and clarity, and the vocals sound good as always.   The arrangement works well and has your trademark ska-ish thing happening - it works well for you!
