Your daily studio schedule

So how do some of you do it? Head into your studio to make some music. Do you follow a routine or have a daily schedule that you stick to?  Here's a mock up of my schedule...

8am  - Wake up and avoid a shower

9am  - Eat breakfast. Sonarflakes with Raptureberries

10am - Take a peek into my studio but don't go in because I haven't showered for 7 days

11am - Hit the Forums!

12pm - Eat lunch if I can break away from the Forums. Bread and wine out of Staff View

1pm - Get back on the Forums. Avoid calls from Selena at all cost

2pm - Break from the Forums

3pm - Head off to an autograph session

4pm - Hang out with RogerH and BristolJonesy while avoiding anything compliments of Avid

5pm - Hit the arcade! Play classics like... Bakers Kong, Sonar-Man, X Invaders, Z3tapede

6pm - Eat dinner. Steak w/o shrimp

7pm - Hit the john but avoid a shower at all cost

8pm - Hit the Forums but don't preach to Ensign Chreggkov or MysticOne

9pm -  Watch a movie, Pirates of the Sonaribbean: DAW Man's Chest

11pm -Take a peek into my studio, but this time check for any spiders, ticks or earwigs

12am - Get some Beep, I mean sleep

Up at 4 pm, shower, eat with Dad...in the studio by about 6 pm. Make a few calls, check mail, call down the other studio to see how things are going. Start working and look at the forums while jobs are rendering throughout the course of the night.

Get done everything by about 9 am the next day, take care of billing and returning calls, check the forums in between...usually out of here by 11 am...sometimes later.

This weekend was a nightmare. Storms and power failures all Sunday so I decided to give in to mother nature, powered down and was in bed by 10 pm. Woke up at 6:45 am, breakfast with dad, shower and here I am. I don't see me getting out of here until this time tomorrow since I did absolutely nothing yesterday.....ugggh!

Tomorrow, I work at the other studio and will get there at around 6:30 pm and stay until about 1 am. Then it's back to this studio to work until around 9 am...repeat process every two days. LOL! :)

I look at the studio on a daily basis. It is after all, in a corner of the room I do other things in.

This year, I have not been writing nearly as much as last year and there have been entire weeks (or dare I say it? "longer")  where the power button went untouched.

Danny, I remember the days when I was playing for a living..... waking up early at 3pm and searching for something edible in the fridge and then tuning the guitar and cleaning it up a bit, while getting ready to rehearse with the band and play a gig somewhere..... getting in at 6am as the sun was rising......

I still tend to be more of a night person than a morning person, but domestic life with a wife and 2 girls,   has put me onto a more "normal" schedule. And age has me nodding out at 10pm now.... but normally.... lights out are still around 11:30pm..... and up around 7am to 8am depending on the schedule on the work calendar.  Its harder to keep up with those young whippersnappers these days, so I don't really try too hard.
