I was trying to find a video for a tune I just heard on the radio on my way to the store (The Guess Who - Raindance), but serendipity struck and I stumbled across this...There's something truly magical about African singing.

Adiemus - Rain Dance
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zOWGX4-wv8

Anyways, here's the tune I was originaly going for. I was hoping for a live performance or band video, but alas, no such luck.

But here's a live performance of another of their classics.

A brilliant performance from a brilliant lady, she forgets the words of her own song here, and a little of her, not entirely stable personality comes out a little, but I think it is her best composition and this is just how I like it, just her and her piano's. If this doesn't make you cry, you have no heart.

As a "proud papa" I have to post this of my son in Germany.

My son is on the left.

Terrible sound (I think it was recorded on a cell phone), but for the style of music this band play, it doesn't much matter.

Impaled

Huh? What do you mean it doesn't matter? Death-Metal is a valid form of music. I actually found a deliciously disturbing real video of their band doing the same song, with better audio quality, but I won't post the link without your permission (you have to actually log in to youtube to verify your age, heh heh).

Edit: Actually, they've got quite a few videos up! They're definitely into the macabre ;)
And on a side-note, absolutely no offense to anyone who loves the shrieking death-metal scene, but those boys can all play their instruments...no doubt about it. If they were to switch to a non-shrieking singing style, and not try so hard to be non-commercial, they could easily compete with the likes of metallica/megadeth/etc...and get on the radio. There really is talent in that band.

Here's one for ya'.
Flintstones

Or my favorite guitarist, Tommy Emmanuel. I met him at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS. I am going to see him again in March here in Wichita.

So many videos by him; how to choose? I decided on something beautiful. His ability to put expression into the instrument is amazing.

Angelina

Now for something faster.

Enjoy,

Wow! How cool is that? I wish I had seen this link a while back when I was trying to convince someone that that was actually good song... but as so often happens, he couldn't see past his knee jerk reax to the original singer.

As a songwriter, I would kill to have come up with the title alone!

If so, I seriously doubt homeowners or renters insurance would cover that!

But I think so long as one gives proper respect to the power of Tesla's genius invention under a controlled setting it is relatively safe.

Did you notice how the transference of energy dissipated into the air illuminates his yellow neon sign?

For anything with a heartbeat, bridging the gap between that arc and a good ground is a bad, bad place to be.

Maybe you could request that guy puts up another video with some keyboard excerpts from the Talking Heads "Burning down the House"

Yup, it's such a great success story too! An unknown band on a low budget, they got the lead singer's sister to choreograph & shoot the video--I read somewhere it took 17 takes. Now, 42 million hits on YouTube later (and I think they won a Grammy for it, too), I hear that song on pop radio all the time. Just goes to show you a little bit of creativity can outdo all the big boys in the industry.

this 1 totally rocked it!!! 1 of the best vids i've ever seen in terms of originality.. a real smack in the jaw for self promoters!

lol.. the way Mark , just sings.. then turns uninterestedly to the side when he's supposed to be singing.. ah the wonders of blue / green screen... thats easily one of the worst video's I've seen.. I bet the cameraman or director used the old cheesy line "hey wanna be in a pop video" to the woman.

I dunno which is funnier... the video or the guy presenting it.. so flippin fake.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9J65j2GNzw

is that presenter wearing a badly fitting syrup? might as go bald gracefully (like me)
