Does fretting the low E string on 3 with her tongue make it a G string?

I'm not sure if that would make it a G string.......maybe the G spot or G note?

For multiple reasons but

1) I think it's a cool topic and been thinkin' on it

2) I went on a date with an SG once... it ended with some light shoplifting and an awkward moment when the young lass realized ole Beepster frowned on such shenannigans

Alright... this is NOT my official favorite guit lick evar (if there ever could be one) and it would likely get me a good bop in the schnozz saying so in the company of some of my old friends...

But the solos at the end of Hotel California are friggen' brilliant.

there...

I'm partial to the solo in Badge. Short, sweet, succinct and ends with descend that is heaven (IMO, but I'm banal so what doo I know?)

Again... I'd likely get a punched in the face for this in certain circles but this is probably one of the best licks/riffs put to tape in modern times... and the solo is of course awesome as well.

"Beat It"

Keep in mind I am a psychotic guit nerd who generally HATES poppo schlock so this is not just some nostalgia trip.

That riff... ya, that's how you write a friggen' riff.

Then of course there is this entire album which more or less taught me how to play guitar as a young beepso lunaweirdotic...

Megadeth - Rust In Peace

Ya... just about every lick/riff on that album would qualify as a Beepster favorite.

In my younger days I always hated how the radio stations would cut off a fairly large chunk of the ending of Hotel California (Not a big Eagles fan though).

There are so many and the mind boggles and goes blank trying to think about it, but one that comes to mind fairly easy is Comfortably Numb

Ya, I was gonna post the BS live from Paris (76...77?) concert but I'm too busy enjoyinating RIP... and last time I searched those vids it seems they'd been yanked because they made a purchaseable DVD of the concert... which personally is something I would actually pay money to own if I had some because it is just friggen' awesome.

And yes... Hetfield was a pretty wicked smashanator as far as riffage. I think I'm just more of a MD thrasher.

Ha! Forgot the riff from Tornado of Souls.

So correction:

Lucretia = Best overall riffage tune on RIP

Tornado of Souls = Best riff on RIP (and I'd say ranks in the top Ten beeps faves of all time... at least)

Hi,

The original cover of the Scorpions album right after "Fly to The Rainbow". (still my favorite Scorpions album!)

Or maybe the cover of Be Bop Deluxe for the "Sunburst Finish" album.

"Sexy" covers, don't really say much about the music, and in general, most of them are teases, and not worth the discussion. Sometimes, a good one comes around, lest we be accused of __________________________ . As is the case of the original Blind Faith album.

Probably the best of them is Flash's first two albums. Although, I really do not see a whole lot of "sexy" in the music, but I'm a guy, not a girl. My girlfriend in Santa Barbara, thought Led Zeppelin was sexy as heck, but I think so did a lot of other women.

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

I think the that first run that Jimmy Page does in the S.T.H. solo is pretty iconic, as are a number of Page riffs like Whole Lotta Love.
