You're So Alive
I'm posting a link to some new music I wrote. It's Mulder and Scully related. I'm using Sonar Platinum with a variety of plugins. On this song I used Native instruments, Heavyocity Vocalise, Rapture Session, Reaktor 6 for the bass line, XLN for the drums and the AAS Player from Applied Acoustic System on a variety of instruments. Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jc7t9uIeTiM

Hmm, don't have much to say about the song. It works fine. The reverb is all wrong, though. The singer has too many plosives. I'd rethink the mix, things are out of balance.

Way to much reverb will keep the furry lugs out for the remix.

Concept works fine but like Wookiee says way too much review, really swamps the soundstage. There doesn't appear to be much separation in the instruments but that probably to do with the reverb.

Certainly this piece could be used in a series or movie but this demo needs a remix. Hope you get some traction with it. Allan =-=-=

I'm gonna be different and say it doesn't need a remix. It's needs to start over.

You can use all the reverb you want - it's OK with me if that's your vision. But what I'd like to know is just what statement are you making here? If you think about that and try to articulate it in the music it will guide you to producing a coherent recording. Right now your intent is too vague and that's what's upsetting some listeners. Best of luck.

Well, I didn't think it was so, so bad, though it could stand a remix for sure. Suggestions: less verb and compression, a little more variation on the percussion and consider shortening the piece. Just my opinion. Liked the vocal. Did you need permission to use the video footage?

I liked it, reminded me of The Cocteau Twins or late period Talk Talk. They used plenty reverb too

I'm with Phil on this one. You've got some good components, they could just use more breathing room to better coexist.
