Z3TA+ AU (mac os)

Want to say hello to all forum users and cakewalk developers. Firstly I want to say sorry for my english, but i will try to explain what i want to make.
I was searching a long time for a z3ta plugin on mac, but unforunetaly there no z3ta AU on mac os x. While I was searching for this beautiful plugin I have read many posts about how people missing z3ta in mac os x. Same as me. I have many projects that runs under windows and cannot completely move to mac os x just because of z3ta :( Also i understand that there are some big problems in porting z3ta to mac os x, because the z3ta was written to windows use only. But... Many plugins was written for windows but they successfully was ported to mac. I heard that many developers use "VST to AU" code to convert vst plugins for mac. May be there is another thing. Developers want that user buy new products as (Zebra and Rapture) and forget for "old" beautiful z3ta. I can think wrong, sorry.
So, my friends, I hope that with your help we can make some voting for a z3ta AU. Because there was no asking about z3ta AU. Only what best alternatives for z3ta, how to run z3ta on mac, but now, topic is about that i want to do. If developers will see, that many peoples want use z3ta on mac (voting), they may be will port somehow. Thank you for reading and hope that we can make some sense to my wish - "z3ta AU".
P.S. if you don't have something to write, just post +, for a positive vote.

Zeta is no longer in development, replaced by Rapture. Rapture doesn't have some of the features of Zeta, but has others. I doubt if you will see a Zeta AU.

May be somebody can help to completely move to pro logic 8. May be raptor can take vst presets from z3ta or something like that. Thank you.

For the life of me... I can't understand why Cakewalk would want to not develop z3ta anymore. Porting it to Mac would be a gold mine, and they wouldn't even have to think of a new product, that part is already done! Bad mistake for Cakewalk considering it's one of the top 10 soft synths ever according to Computer Music's public poll.

I'm sick of hearing people say that Rapture is the new z3ta. They don't even sound the same. I would love for someone to prove me wrong though. Go ahead and program the z3ta presets in Rapture... I'm waiting...

I didn't say it is the new Zeta, I said Rapture replaced it in the scheme of Synth things. Personally, I like Rapture a lot better, but I can see how 0thers prefer the charms of Zeta.

One thing - Zeta was Rene's synth before he joined up with Cakewalk, so it is kinda orphaned. Cake pays René to work on stuff for them, not spilt the profit on upgrading old stuff (note: I don't know the particulars of ownership on the Zeta, just putting out some practical business application).

But I'm sure Cakewalk do an analysis of the Mac conversion costs and return and decided not to take a chance. I doubt that they left a goldmine laying around for no good reason.

But speculation on another's dime is always fun.

z3ta is indeed owned by Cakewalk now since they bought out RGC. It also only makes sense that developing a Mac / new version of z3ta would be more cost effective than a completely new product.

I guess Cakewalk would rather put their energy into advertising lame perks such as “buy Sonar now and get the next paid update for free”…

Translation… “buy Sonar now because we really, really need the money, but we don’t want to put any extra work into something like making one of our existing popular products cross platform… so yea… just buy Sonar… right now… even if you don’t need it…..”.

I missed z3ta+ on the Mac side for a while. Even petitioned, or joined in a few, to get a Mac version.
Realizing finally that it isn't ever going to happen, I just started living without it, and now don't miss it any more.

It's a great synth, to be sure, but there are also some excellent alternatives that can get you very far:
    Synlenth1
    Massive
    FM8
    Rapture
    V-Station
    (others)

I would like to see z3ta+ on Mac as well, for what it's worth.
And I'll add a +1 to see it happen.

While we wait, though, check out some of the other options available.

z3ta+ for mac has been the biggest FR since the plugin was released. You can also search huge threads on KvR. Until then, here is how I run z3ta on OSX.

I'm so pissed at Cakewalk. There's no excuse for not developing it further. There's nothing else that sounds like it in software and Macs are INTEL now. Cakewalk could use something like the JUCE framework to make it cross platform...
