Z3TA+ Arp Patterns?

Hi Rene' thought I would try you over here since you don't come "home" much anymore
Will we ever be able to have more than 200 custom Arp slots in Z3TA+? Maybe if it could read sub menus we could have an Arp Folder for each patch bank we have. As it is now manually changing the Arp folder everytime we load a new bank is not very efficient. Also if a patch in somebody's bank refers to an Arp location that is empty, no sound. Will this issue ever be addressed in Z3TA+ ? Thanks!

Hey, welcome here, this happens to be "home" now

I haven't heard about plans for a z3ta+ update. But if there's ever one, I'm sure that the arp-with-names-and-folders will be in the top-10 list of considered features. It has been one of the most requested features, if not the mostt.

    Yea!

Let me know too! I would like to use this feature also. I use the ARP a LOT!!! And while I can find a work arround, I still get frustrated with the structure.

    Thanks

Well, when z3ta+ was released, 200 arpeggio slots were *absolutely a lot*. Something like the 640MB limitation in DOS, that one would never reach

I bet you guys do know this workaround for the meantime: You can just rename the \Arpeggio folder to something else (i.e. \Arpeggio01), and place another set there. Not only that this will give you unlimited patterns, but also that will allow you to use patches in any bank with different arpeggios.

You can even do that while z3ta+ is running. Just reselect the arpeggio and the new one will enter in action immediately.

I haven't done much research on Z3TA+. I didn't know it had an arp. How is it?

Pretty good, since you can make custom arpeggios from MIDI files.

Lots of gear. Not enough time.

    1- Go for the demo
    2- Install
    3- Insert instance
4- Play and hold a note

You'll have an instant taste on the arp

    Believe it or not....

But that ONE patch (the one that opens with z3ta) SOLD me on the product the first time I heard it.

    I loved it ever since.

Woa Rene' let me see if I get your workaround. Say I have a bank of patches from Vengence Sound, one from Pro Sounds, one of my own, etc all I have to do is rename the arp folder for each one and the patches will find them everytime I load them up? Does this have to be done Before the patch is saved? So in other words I can have a folder of arps called "Vengence-1" that holds the arps for the Vengence bank, A folder named Pro Sounds-1 that holds the arps for that bank, etc and Z3TA+ will recognize and find the arps manually each time I load a patch the uses an arp in that folder?????? If that is the case then I might be able to get by as it is now. Of course within each folder the arp names are still arp001.cmp to arp200.cmp? Do I understand the workaround correctly? (I hope) Thanks!
