Z3ta+ 2.1 weird playback

So here's what's happening.  I choose a patch in Z3ta and record it. On playback, it sounds modulated and detuned. If I click another patch and then go back to the original, it plays fine. Play it again, back to detuned. If I freeze the track after going back and forth with another patch and the original, it will stay. I'm not making any changes to these patches and this will happen if it's the only track in the project. This annoying.  Any thoughts?

check the midi information at the start of the song in cake (or your daw of choice).  Make sure there isn't some kind of set up that is causing the glitch.

In Sonar there is list of midi controllers, etc.  I forget what it is called.  But it lists all the midi info, including anything that begins w/ the song - such as patch changes, etc.  That is the first place I'd look to see if there was some extraneous midi commands floating there or in the first seconds before your synth line starts.
