Zoom out bug

I don't know if this is a bug or a "feature," but if I'm holding down a clip in CCB (say I'm selecting or dragging it) while I'm zoomed into my project and I accidentally right-click, the whole project zooms out to normal view. Is there ANY way to turn that off? I'm using CCB 2018.08.
