Zoom to selected clip? *SOLVED*

Am I losing it, or was there a "Zoom to selection" feature in X1 that is now somehow missing?

I seem to recall using a feature in X1 (and previous SONARs) where you can use a keyboard shortcut to quickly zoom in on a selected clip. I swear I've done that many many times.

This morning I hit the keyboard shortcut to enlarge a highlighted clip and nothing happened. I hit it again. Nothing. I checked my reference sheet (of custom shortcuts) to make sure I was using the right shortcut and I was. So I pulled up the online manual to see what the default shortcut was thinking it might have reverted (happens from time to time with custom shortcuts in X1) and couldn't find it referenced anywhere! There is no mention in the X1 manual of a "Zoom to selection" feature, let alone a keyboard shortcut for it!

Seriously? I have a shortcut for it marked down on my reference sheet so to me that's evidence that the feature did exist at one point. Maybe it was removed in one of the updates...?

Please, someone tell me I'm not crazy!

    Some questions and some statements:

You're still on X1 or moved to X2 now?
Why not double click the track?

I'm not aware of a button.

    Doesn't mean there isn't one!

To turn on the auto-zoom in X2, press shift+z.

I believe what you're looking for is CTRL+ALT+H: Show and Fit Selection.  Just tried it and X2 and it's working fine here. If you have Auto Track Zoom enabled, this will only work on the horizontal axis.

Sorry, I just realized that my post might have given the impression I was talking about a feature that was available in X1 but missing from X2.

I was referring to X1 and X1 only. The "Zoom to selection" was what I was sure was there in X1 before but now seems to be missing from X1.

Bill Jackson:  That was it! "Show And Fit Selection" is the wording in X1 in the keyboard shortcut dialog. I was looking under "Zoom" features. I guess the keyboard shortcut I set up disengaged itself, X1 is kinda buggy with custom shortcuts being retained.

Anyway, happy to have found the feature again...but especially happy to know I'm not crazy. Thanks!
