a choice to make....

Hi all,
-read often; seldom post...
I'm using 8.5.3 and I'm happy - but-

I want to either increase my instantiations of Trackplug by upgrading from LE to Trackplug 5
-or-
move on up to X1 and use the new pro channel

I do mostly audio recording and mixdown.  I occasionally use Roland's pitch correction.

I'm on a 32 bit XP dual core 4gig (I know it's showing age but it's very STABLE)

Knowing what you know-what's your advice???

Thanks for the help.

Stick with what you have. Maybe upgrade to a Quad processor if your current MOBO will support it.

Then, when X2c is out, and confirmed to be the greatest thing since sliced grooveclips, upgrade to Win7 x64 on an I7 with a new interface running good x64 drivers at the same time you move to X2, so you can be completely overwhelmed by change, and not know which change caused which of the myriad issues you are experiencing.

This is what I would do in hindsight.

    I'm about 3/4 serious.

There is a trial version up for download, so you can decide for yourself easily enough.

Some find X1 to be more stable than 8.5.3 or at least that is what they say. It seems fine to me.
